Every American - man, woman, and child - deserves safe and affordable housing, either as a homeowner or as
a tenant. Sadly, for many, affordable housing is just a dream, as rents continue to climb and the supply of such housing continues to shrink due to physical deterioration and gentrification.

In 1989, the National Housing Partnership, a congressionally chartered corporation, founded The NHP Foundation to be the preeminent provider and manager of quality affordable low- and moderate-income housing.

Utilizing the rigorous financial discipline of a real estate company and the mission of a charitable organization,
The NHP Foundation has taken a unique approach to America's affordable housing crisis. We Draw upon both public and private sources of funding, ensuring The NHP Foundation has the flexibility to acquire, build,
rehabilitate, and provide affordable housing to communities throughout the country.
